The main factor of it’s high price is the uncommon method of producing such a coffee. It has been produced from the coffee beans which have been digested by a certain Indonesian cat-like animal called then palm civet or also civet cat.
Kopi luwak is the world’s most expensive coffee. It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet or other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. Balinese farmers have touted for generations that it is the best-tasting coffee.
